With over 3 million males over the age of 50 in Australia it is with some concern that Prostate cancer will play a large part of Men's Health issues in Australia. Peter Gaudion from Nutritional Laboratory Services, (NLS), has taken on board this increasing problem of early detection of prostate cancer with the release of their latest Self Test Kit. NLS identifies the concern of men in the area of health and wellbeing. With this in mind NLS has developed the first of its kind. The Prostate PSA Test Kit allows the collection of a few drops of blood onto a sample card, which can be collected in the privacy of the home and sent to the laboratory for evaluation. Men and Women alike need all the opportunity to have a facility where they can have the independence of self health determination. NLS Prostate Test is a self collected blood spot test method used as a screening profile for PSA (Prostate Serum Antigen). With over 1200 men dying each year from prostate cancer the NLS kit is not a cure, but a simple, accurate way of indicating whether there is any need for concern about prostate health. Although PSA is an extremely important marker of prostate cancer, it is not cancer specific.
